.Eardrums in Distress

Until now, I'm having the aches on my arms and legs from yesterday's activties. I have no idea whether it's from the gym or from the hours of dancing.

Just before I stepped out of the house, I received Jerica's msg asking me to be in club-suitable way just in case we have to succumb to temptations. Indeed, even before we left the house, I guessed..we would really go. Sometimes it's really hard to resist SUCH temptations especially during holidays AND free-time.

Shopping was great. A wonderful achievement for myself coz I bought nothing. An absolute nothing. But still, we went around the boutiques enjoying the wow-ness by the branded :( ..And I think the both of us agreed, just like any other things, once you're up the ladder...you'll be very reluctant to go down again.

My Own Obsession first.

Looking at my own pics, I have to digress a lil...Sis just chatted with me online with the regards to the nightmare she had last night that made her couldnt sleep. She dreamt that I passed away before Cheeky comes back. (Aww, this is so sad!) And my mum actually selected my PRIMARY SCHOOL pic as my funeral pic. She wanted mum to change the pic but mum said it requires another 100 bucks to change one.

And she said there's lotsa flower wreath with my big head photos on it from friends etc. (hahas, and i told her..everyone knows I'm so self-obsessed) And the next thing she told me was...Cheeky flew back immediately to attend the funeral and cried damn badly. (hahas)...

Very funny dream I thought. Nevertheless, I showned her some pics which I have QC-ed and think it's appropriate to be used for the funeral pic if I really die. hahahahs.

Oh yes...to ensure that we can get in...we have already reached there by 930pm. And the queue was already so long..snaking past the valvet car park. We thought we wouldnt have a chance to get in. And now I know why reaching at 11+ is a almost-sure-no-chance to get in. Oh the night's music got quite sucky at times...Jerica and I stoned for a while when they played trance and techno. Oh my goodness~

And everytime during club... I'm so entertained by people's pick-up. I have to admit that they are damn irritating coz they make you have to change your dance spots constantly. But the way they pick-up...comes in all sorta ways besides the usual bored ones. Like this guy that told me," No, I dont pick-up in club"..so i replied "and what are you doing now?" It's so bad that i turned violent for the night..elbowing guys away. I thought it was kinda rude, but since words dont work..
And ther's other funny stuff today...would be endless to summarise em here.. *hahas.

VALENTINE's DAY AT MORTON's - 14 Feb o8

This place..this place was really crowded with couples mainly of caucasians even at 930pm. A place serving the best steaks, i supposed so. American -based setting with friendly and funny service staff.. Yuppz, the Morton's at the Mandarin Oriental. My first time there despite a few recalls of the lobby some time ago. hahas.

I'm always damn stunned when I look at the menus of these places. That puts me in a position of dunnoe-what-to-order.

and perharps it is right..''the best STEAK anywhere!"..to be revealed when the food is served!

Oh, and I really think that the way they introduced the menu was special. Pushing a trolley to our tables and introducing what they serves with REAL pieces of beef, salmon, veg, etc before they present us the written menu. So they have verbal and visual kind of menu!

A lovely pic taken by a funny waiter who insisted that he wants to take the photo in certain ways, which is different from the normal waiter that obeys the guests accordingly.

The huge bread was served to us. hahas...it has a yummy, lightly-fragrant layer of crust ;]

The appeitiser was Broiled Sea Scallops wrapped in Bacon w Apricot Sauce. Mixing the huge scallop with the fresh bacon and Apricot Sauce brings different layers of taste to the dish! Unpeel its taste layer by layers. ;]

The best dish came of coz, after the appeitiser! Despite being a non-beef eater, I have to have to say that that Porterhouse Steak is damn nice, especially so for the perfectly grilled parts. And that indicates...yes...i ate some of it. =x

And the Broiled Salmon in..hmm some sauce was not too bad too! Think the sauce went quite well w the salmon and it was finely grilled too!

But both the main courses were of a bit of a too large serving.

ANother super nice dessert!

Unlike our usual TCC's dark devotion which was already so nice, this is much much much better, way way above. The way the chocolate oozes out generously and the crispiness of the choc cake werent the usual kind...wow! Oh, and its served w haagen daz's vanilla ice-cream. (the king of diar.lolx)

Still think that v-day and anniversary falls abit on a wrong day this month when this guy is so busy and prob kinda stressed over work. Thanks for squeezing out the time for me yupps! But seriously, hahas, club wasnt and isnt above ____.

But yea, over the years, i sorta come to understand that V-day is not about gifts and DEFINITELY not flowers. hahas..think flowers is abit too old-fashioned...its like going for matchmaking. I cant helped laughing when i saw ppl carrying that esp the handheld kinds.

It's about being in love, being loved, enjoying the company of each other and knowing that someone is there for you whether you meet or not.

Phuture was really fun! The dancers so much more vibrant, so many more better dancers. But what I observed is the proportion of guys to gals seems abit overwhelming uneven.

Immediately i sensed the difference when we were surrounded by a group of guys when we hit the dance floor. As if telling us, "no mercy" hahas.

Somehow or rather, I had guys telling me im underaged. Sth which i cannot understand why..

I think something is quite wrong with me. I dunnoe why when i was dancing,when i was observing others.. i kept thinking bout other hmm..solemn stuff.

The process of socialisation came to my mind. Questions pop in my mind, which is damn damn weird!

Is socialisation based on the merit of chemistry, appearances, dancing or simply lust? Of coz, i know that im asking a stupid question in a place like club. But I just got that gut feel that some ppl just take on any people that approach them. Some people just got to show their worth by showing that they have the ability to attract and even to the extent of french kissing. omg* Yet i think that by trying to prove their worth, they become worthless.

And i just wonder why doesnt some gals love themselves more. To be held by the waist and dance and before you know it, his hands are on somewhere else and ur lips are on his. Isnt kisses supposed to be passionate, a connection between 2 souls? hahas, and the funny thing is someone can use hands gestures signalling us to go away when they kisses. It's just...amazing.

Are people trying to act decent when they are outside and then come to the stage of being wild and start doing what they normally dun do out of a club. .?

ST. JAMES W JERICA - MANY FIRST - 28,29th DEC 07

Clubbing w jerica for the first time, clubbing with only 2 persons for the first time and also hitting St. James for the first time.

Though it was only the 2 of us, it was still fun! W jerica and me madly dancing amongst some of the half-hearted dancers =x. We hopped from club to club trying to find the one that we would prefer as Powerhouse was playing Trance which we had no feel for to dance for long!

And our cup of tea turns out to be Tiger Live which is in our genre of R&B, Hip HOP! Bellini Room and Gallery Bar not too bad as well...quite a nice place for chills out. Definitely more of a chilling out place rather than for dancing...since we have to autistically dance at a discrete corner. HAHAs. And we settled for Lychee Martini at Gallery Bar before we hit Tiger Live for the dance again!

ZOUK VIA VELVET

The attempt to club was faced w a poor turn up rate again. Disappointing me initially that I've very much lost the mood to club. Its just so hard to coordinate clubbing especially with non-frequent clubbers. Not that I'm a frequent clubber..but...I've concluded that I should club w the frequent clubbers to prevent such unnecessary disappointment again.

Thinking that the club was cancelled..Jer and I headed down to Marina Sq, having Secret Recipe for dinner. Introducing the yummie Irish Lamb stew, Spag Meatball, and Choc Banana cake!! Marvellous. LOve the thick layer of hmm 'spongey' choc on the top and the sides. And the Lamb Stew was tender with a sauce that doesnt let one get sick of it easily.. Oh and..I ate some meatball(beef)..must say that they are quite good,with the sauce. Hahas. Sorry but sauce is still important to me.LOL

During dinner, we simply cant put our minds totally off from clubbing..While the great continued to coord..we ended our dinner...with 'yes lets go!'

Zouk and Phuture were both full house by the time we got there. Or rather, Zouk got full house when we were like 10 clubbers in the queue away. That was damn shitty! Nonetheless,this didnt turn down our want to club. Went over to the velvet's queue instead! And yupps, I don really like the Trance playing Velvet. But still..hadnt got a chance to pop over to Phuture!

Squeezy club I would say! Hahas, and with that limited limited space...we are still trying to display, Salsa, Reggae and Freestyles. Not to forget those jumping up and down!...After that totally shag out that I need somewher to lie on! hahas. And we had really good dancers around. The freestyle has always been good, the salsa moves are impressively done in tandem with the non-salsa music.

And oops. Think I forgot and missed the chance of taking photos with the rest! But I had fun with the guys! Jer, Shaun,Edward. And the couple...though i wasnt v familiar w them still..Florence and bf. hahas.

And the next day, I ended up at work SUPER tired with simply 2 hours of sleep. Quite amazed at my ability to do so. To grit through the 8.5 hours of work...with digits turning upside down on me and feeling floaty at times.

Lets not be wishy-washy.

ZOUK - WEDNESDAY, 1st AUG 2007

Met up with Jeremy,Fabian, Charmaine, Qiuhan, Maurice, Jeffrey, Beng Chang, Perry and Guan Ze for dinner on that fun night.

My mind was a little haywired. I laughed practically at everything.Some screws somewher is lost. Dinner was enjoyed at Bristo?, wheelock. Extravagant dining once again!

The climax came in when we arrived at zouk, at least for myself! hahas.I haven been to a club for almost 3 years! Probably lost the feel of dancing. WE have lotsa great dancers though. And the winner is shallow king, LOL. thats like a for sure thing.

WE stayed until Zouk's closing time. I was said to be seigh after that.Haha. BUt i still beg to differ. Im seriously not seigh. I got no hangover like Guan ze.
