. a sparkling surprise :)

He handed me a SK paper bag just before we left the house for Jaan at Swissotel. The hardly surprised soul received the surprise in the form of a delayed happiness.

I didnt exclaim the moment I received the red paper bag coz still accepting this surprise in sweetness and yea, real surprise, in abit of a shock. I didnt expect it at all. No instint at all this time.

Yet I was still kept in suspense in not supposed to open nor peep until we are seated in Jaan.

I was asked to guess the item inside. My guess? A necklace, judging from the paper bag. Cheeky being cheeky, he told me it's a watch but not a Guess watch..which led me to rack my brains over the available brands of watch in the market...I didnt really believe it totally though. Why would he tell me the answer all of a sudden..hahas.

Opening the red pyramidal box, i felt the rush of excitement, anticipation and happiness.. :) The second gift i'm receiving from Cheeky... :)))

and thats what chubby koon got... A SK diamond necklace! Indeed, a first diamond necklace ...and it gets nicer and nicer when I look at it.

Appreciated the gift my dear :). Despite the fact that you are in need of money now...you still got me such an expensive gift.. thanks alotsa..alotsa! And now, I have another lovely gift to accompany me for that 2 months, reminding me of cheeky's company. :D Thanks, my sweet darling ^^

VALENTINE's DAY AT MORTON's - 14 Feb o8

This place..this place was really crowded with couples mainly of caucasians even at 930pm. A place serving the best steaks, i supposed so. American -based setting with friendly and funny service staff.. Yuppz, the Morton's at the Mandarin Oriental. My first time there despite a few recalls of the lobby some time ago. hahas.

I'm always damn stunned when I look at the menus of these places. That puts me in a position of dunnoe-what-to-order.

and perharps it is right..''the best STEAK anywhere!"..to be revealed when the food is served!

Oh, and I really think that the way they introduced the menu was special. Pushing a trolley to our tables and introducing what they serves with REAL pieces of beef, salmon, veg, etc before they present us the written menu. So they have verbal and visual kind of menu!

A lovely pic taken by a funny waiter who insisted that he wants to take the photo in certain ways, which is different from the normal waiter that obeys the guests accordingly.

The huge bread was served to us. hahas...it has a yummy, lightly-fragrant layer of crust ;]

The appeitiser was Broiled Sea Scallops wrapped in Bacon w Apricot Sauce. Mixing the huge scallop with the fresh bacon and Apricot Sauce brings different layers of taste to the dish! Unpeel its taste layer by layers. ;]

The best dish came of coz, after the appeitiser! Despite being a non-beef eater, I have to have to say that that Porterhouse Steak is damn nice, especially so for the perfectly grilled parts. And that indicates...yes...i ate some of it. =x

And the Broiled Salmon in..hmm some sauce was not too bad too! Think the sauce went quite well w the salmon and it was finely grilled too!

But both the main courses were of a bit of a too large serving.

ANother super nice dessert!

Unlike our usual TCC's dark devotion which was already so nice, this is much much much better, way way above. The way the chocolate oozes out generously and the crispiness of the choc cake werent the usual kind...wow! Oh, and its served w haagen daz's vanilla ice-cream. (the king of diar.lolx)

Still think that v-day and anniversary falls abit on a wrong day this month when this guy is so busy and prob kinda stressed over work. Thanks for squeezing out the time for me yupps! But seriously, hahas, club wasnt and isnt above ____.

But yea, over the years, i sorta come to understand that V-day is not about gifts and DEFINITELY not flowers. hahas..think flowers is abit too old-fashioned...its like going for matchmaking. I cant helped laughing when i saw ppl carrying that esp the handheld kinds.

It's about being in love, being loved, enjoying the company of each other and knowing that someone is there for you whether you meet or not.

Phuture was really fun! The dancers so much more vibrant, so many more better dancers. But what I observed is the proportion of guys to gals seems abit overwhelming uneven.

Immediately i sensed the difference when we were surrounded by a group of guys when we hit the dance floor. As if telling us, "no mercy" hahas.

Somehow or rather, I had guys telling me im underaged. Sth which i cannot understand why..

I think something is quite wrong with me. I dunnoe why when i was dancing,when i was observing others.. i kept thinking bout other hmm..solemn stuff.

The process of socialisation came to my mind. Questions pop in my mind, which is damn damn weird!

Is socialisation based on the merit of chemistry, appearances, dancing or simply lust? Of coz, i know that im asking a stupid question in a place like club. But I just got that gut feel that some ppl just take on any people that approach them. Some people just got to show their worth by showing that they have the ability to attract and even to the extent of french kissing. omg* Yet i think that by trying to prove their worth, they become worthless.

And i just wonder why doesnt some gals love themselves more. To be held by the waist and dance and before you know it, his hands are on somewhere else and ur lips are on his. Isnt kisses supposed to be passionate, a connection between 2 souls? hahas, and the funny thing is someone can use hands gestures signalling us to go away when they kisses. It's just...amazing.

Are people trying to act decent when they are outside and then come to the stage of being wild and start doing what they normally dun do out of a club. .?

TOP OF THE M

BIRTHDAY FAIRYTALE- 21st Dec' 07

The whole celebration started w a fetch! Simple things such as fetching makes me feel like a princess, enjoying such privileges which has never been in my possession before. People like my sis can never understand my joy. A little girl's contentment and joy.

In the car, i was still kept in the suspense of 'where are we going?' And i always love surprises soo much. (who doesnt?!)

And so! The place that we are going to is sitting somewhere in town. And as soon as we walked towards Meritus Mandarin, and my guess.. yes.. TOP OF THE M.

My first visit to this 'legendary' Singapore's first revolving resturant 39 storeys high up in Meritus Mandarin. It revolves. Yes, it does and it's so slow that you can only feel it even you urself are not moving v much!

The stairs led us to a dimly-lit w soft red lights that im so sure that im gonna have a romantic birthday dinner! ;p

It feels great to see through the glass windows, down the streets and see bulbs of lights. The vehicles on the roads look slow when observed from the revolving top. Pace of citylife is reduced as we indulge in the romantic and soothing setting.

I browsed through the menu which shows long French names and oh pricey delicacies. And seriously, being my first time to such extravagance, I have no idea what I should order. But almost every dish looks interesting w its description..

Appetiser - Escargots.

maybe..maybe its because its so dim that i cant totally see what im eating that i dare to try this out. Supposedly slimy disgusting creature. Yet when it gets into my mouth, it doesnt feel as disgusting. And indeed it is heavenly..springy and lightly flavoured w various spices! The fragrance alone when serve is enough to subdue the greedy koon. hahas. if only i can tell what spices are there..

Venison Tender and Roasted Duck

I chose the Venison Tender as my main course! One reason being...i've never tried a Venison before. And i'm told that it taste like beef. And apparently its nice when eaten w the cranberry sauce and the crispy garnishes on top..(which im not too sure what are they) hahas.

OH! but what surprised me is Jer's Roasted Duck. It definitely doesnt taste like any other coffee shops or food courts duck. If i werent told that was a duck, i would have think that its something else. TAsty~~ hahas. and i love his potato salad! Heaven mix of the sour cream, bacon bits and potato..yummie yummie yummie! =P

And how can we go off without trying one of the best desserts! THE SEVEN SINS. Its really sinful...each one of them is so thick in its taste. Yet each of them are distinct in either its texture or taste. Close your eyes and u'll still be able to guess correctly which one u're tasting!!

And my favourite among the seven is the one in the eggshell! The whole texture that is smoothly mixed as if its really mixed w egg yolk(is there egg yolk in it? im still wondering,hahas) . Slight bitterness. LOVE IT!!

That was the first song sung. The second song was Desperado, all by Eagles. It only proves further the point of the importance of classic songs for a romantic and class setting.

Another emotional Blackmail.

Thank you my dear for the wonderful birthday dinner! It made me felt so special and pampered, so different from any other birthday celebrations I had over the past 19 years. hahas. i'll try not to be too mushy. So, i'll just end off again w a big big big 'Thank You' and 'Love you!' >.<

and lastly.. Thanks to all my ladies who brought me presents and all others for ur wishes..^^ im aldy happy enough to know that u guys remember. Arigatos~!

FANTASIES

Just a couple of days ago, I was sitting under the bus-stop waiting for my bus to come when the skies became grey. Clouds were blown from the darker side of the sky to the side that was still bright and less cloudy. The clouds floated across swiftly and the wind howled past my body..Playing along in the scene was the dancing leaves and the swaying branches of the trees. Even the leaves on the ground started to go against gravity and flew up, left, right, in all directions. Indeed, the breeze was fierce but relaxing enough for me.

Naturally, my eyes shutted to just feel..feel the breeze, nerve-calming waves..

And it brought out the lil' fantasies in my mind. Its how weird that such simple stimulus can evoke these hidden crap in me..

Fantasy ONE: Go for speeding spins late at night with empty roads in a convertable..standing high up and scream it off!! Beautifully complement with soothing love songs or beats heavy hiphop, R&b! (too bad..there can hardly be real empty roadS)

Fantasy TWO: Spins in the evening while the sun is about to set. Enjoy the colourful layered skies before it sets into calmness of the night.. (Sad thing is...evening roads are always busy, not really quiet enough for one to enjoy such beauty quietly.)

Fantasy THREE: To walk in the rain with great songs. And then run with the rhythmic raindrops. ( but it seems that its a lil hard to have songs played during a rainy day,especially those high quality stereo-kinds and to have it mobile is even tougher.)

Fantasy FOUR: To stand on top of a mountain with quiet moments before screaming it off on top of ur lungs! Oh can one actually dance on a mountain? Sounds like madness. hahas. (And I wonder if standing at the peak of a mountain while its raining...will I get struck? lol)

hahas..fantasies that can easily pull me off from reality especially on a rainy day (when the wind blows and u feel really relaxed!) plus stressful anti-social periods. I(We) see words, papers and pens everyday now.

Nevertheless, when my bus comes....Im back to reality again!
No more fantasies..or daydreaming... Leaving those fantasies at the back of the mind again!

You can dream, dream all you want. Ther's no limit to that.
